It is most helpful to a recruiter with only a base knowledge of what the candidate and the hiring manager have a greater knowledge of. As a recruiter, I have lots of experience and knowledge in recruiting, sourcing, screening, in human resources generally. I am not an idiot. But I am not an expert in every field out there.
