My Free Course, a rapidly growing EdTech startup, seeks both a talented Senior Social Media Manager and Junior Social Media Manager to join our dynamic remote team and revolutionize how we connect with our learners.

The Role

As our Social Media Manager, you will be the voice of My Free Course online. You will develop and execute a winning social media strategy that drives brand awareness, increases user engagement, and attracts new learners to our platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X , YouTube, Linkedin) that align with the My Free Course brand objectives to enhance brand visibility and engagement across multiple channels.

  • Proven experience in paid social media advertising, particularly with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads.

  • Sound knowledge of SEO, PPC advertising, and social media marketing

  • Create high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our target audience.

  • Create high-quality content, including articles, blogs, social media posts, long and short form videos -ensuring consistency in brand messaging and voice.

  • Manage and schedule social media posts to maximize reach and engagement.

  • Analyse social media data and track key metrics (likes, shares, clicks, website traffic)

  • Identify and leverage trending topics and social media conversations relevant to online education.

  • Build and nurture relationships with our online community through comments, messages, and social listening.

  • Collaborate with other departments (design, marketing, and content) to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role

  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their algorithms

  • A portfolio showcasing your content creation skills and past campaigns

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, SproutSocial)

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

  • A creative and strategic mindset with a passion for online learning

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the e-learning or EdTech industry (ideally)

  • Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Capcut)

  • Experience with paid social media advertising

  • Experience with Google Analytics

Minimum Infrastructure Requirements

  • Internet speed: Minimum 30 Mbps.

  • Computer: Minimum Windows 10 with 8 GB RAM.

  • Job Type: Fixed-term contract

  • Contract length: 6 months - will be renewed with Performance Review result

  • Starting Salary: £4,200-£6,000 per year

Schedule

(UK GMT) 8-hour working shift with a 30-minute break(flexible within agreed-upon core hours)

  • Monday - Sunday (5 days a week inclusive of one weekend day)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

  • Previous social media management experience: 2+ years
