We are seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of the EJV portfolio of companies. This fully remote role will require approximately 2–3 hours per week and is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, experienced with QuickBooks, and comfortable managing bookkeeping across multiple business entities. This role will support the Chief of Staff by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, timely reconciliation, and visibility over spend across the business. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and able to offer insights or flag issues without being prompted.

Entities Supported: EJV portfolio of companies
Maintain up-to-date records of all financial transactions using QuickBooks Online
Record day-to-day financial entries and reconciliations across multiple business entities
Categorize transactions, maintain chart of accounts, and ensure accuracy in coding
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms (e.g., Stripe, PayPal)
Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to review budgets and track ongoing spend
Prepare and generate basic financial reports (monthly or ad hoc)
Maintain digital filing of receipts, invoices, and vendor documentation
Liaise with external accountants as needed to support VAT filings, year-end reporting, or compliance questions
Monitor for unusual or duplicate transactions and raise flags for review
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Finance Assistant, ideally supporting startups or small businesses
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential
Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices, transaction categorization, and financial workflows
Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
Comfortable working independently and providing updates with limited oversight
Familiarity with UK and/or US financial systems is a plus
Experience supporting multiple entities or businesses under one parent organisation
Familiarity with tools such as Dext (formerly Receipt Bank), Gusto, or other finance platforms
Experience liaising with external accountants, tax professionals, or payroll providers
