Expected Starting Pay Range: $85,000 - $110,000/yr

Starting compensation rate is determined on qualifications and experience. Highly qualified applicants could start at the higher end of the posted range.

In an effort to help them make the best business decisions possible to help them create the best life they can through their business.Our company was founded in 2022, and we currently have a 100% remote team of 9. We have 30-35 active clients across industries such as Consulting, Marketing, Healthcare, SaaS, Info Products, Ecommerce, Cybersecurity, B2B Agencies, and more. They're mostly online businesses. They're typically anywhere from $460,000 - $20 million per year in revenue.We strive to be "The Bentley of Accounting Firms'' for our market. We're experiencing quick growth and are looking for Top Tier accountants and financial professionals to Squad Up with us.

Position Role

As a Fractional CFO your mission is to equip our clients with the financial insights they need to grow their business and hit their goals.

You will accomplish this by:

  • Creating and Delivering CFO Reports: Giving our clients quick feedback loops into their financial performance

  • Monthly Client Calls: Maintaining frequent contact through scheduled calls guarantees personalized service and up-to-date client and team alignment. Proactive communication here is crucial for this role.

  • Financial KPI Creation, Targeting, & Analysis: Initial KPI setup call with new clients - Craft tailored metrics to clients, making sure ours and their most important considerations are tracked on a monthly ongoing basis.

  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Helping ensure clients stay on track and don't run into any pitfalls

  • Documenting: Religiously update the project management system to reflect the status of each clients tasks. Update client internal Slack channels with any relevant information the team should know about. Create SOP's relevant to your role as you tackle new challenges.

  • Regular Team Check-Ins: Report progress and bring questions to the team when they arise. Weekly meetings with the full team to ensure we're on the same page and operations are running smoothly.

  • Daily and Weekly Recaps: Fill out end of day and end of week forms summarizing your work preformed, upcoming work, roadblocks, and ways we can improve.

Tasks:

Since we are quickly growing, the exact tasks you will be doing may shift over time, however, here is what you can broadly expect to be doing:

Daily

  • Updating Client KPI's and KPI Targets

  • Updating Financial Reporting Based on Client Feedback

  • Communicating With the Team via Slack

  • Communicating With Clients via Slack

  • Provide Support to the Accounting Team

  • Updating Project Statuses in Our Internal Systems

  • Proactively Updating and Reaching Out to Clients

  • Fill out End of Day Form

  • Process Improvement: Identify Opportunities for Process Improvements and Efficiency Enhancements

Weekly

  • Conducting KPI Setup Calls With New Clients

  • Conducting Monthly CFO Calls With Clients

  • Review Financials for Clients With Weekly or Semi-Weekly Deliverables

  • Create SOP's Relevant to Your Role

  • Send Updates to Clients on The Progress You've Made For Them

  • Work on One Off Projects

  • 1 Full Team Meeting

  • 1-3 Meetings with Your Pod

  • Fill out End of Week Form

  • Set Weekly Initiatives / Projects for the Following Week

Monthly

  • Review Financials and Create CFO Reports

  • Update Custom KPI Calculations (LTV, CAC, Profitability)

  • Update Forecasts with Financial Data and Business Changes From the Client

  • Meet with Clients to Review Reports and Provide Insights and Recommendations

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in QuickBooks Online

  • Expert in Excel // Google Sheets

  • Strong Understanding of How Chart of Accounts Effects Reporting

  • Strong Understanding of Financial Modeling

  • Strong Understanding of Business Models

  • Strong Understanding of How to Unlock Profits in Business

  • Proactive Client Communication Skills

  • Ability to Be Client Facing and Conduct Calls on Your Own

  • Ability to Optimize Chart of Accounts

  • Ability to Make Adjusting Journal Entries

  • Ability to Be The Source of Financial Confidence for Clients

  • Resourceful & Adaptable Mindset

  • Strong Attention to Detail

  • U.S. Based, Native Level English Speaking & Writing Skills

  • Reliable Internet and Quiet Office Space

  • Tech Setup for Remote Work (Webcam, Microphone)

  • Experience with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets)

  • Available to Work a Full Time Schedule

Bonus Experience

  • CPA Preferred but Not Required

  • Other Certifications: QBO, Xero, EA, FathomHQ, Etc.

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Other Relevant Field

  • Experience with Any of the Following Tools

    • Slack

    • Xero

    • Zoom

    • Uncat

    • Make

  • Experience Working in a Startup/Fast Paced Environment

  • Baseline Tax Knowledge

  • Familiarity with Online Business Models
