As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing client accounts and providing expert consultation. This role is AP-heavy and involves significant use of Excel and QuickBooks Online.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Processing invoices, applying payments, and reconciling transactions accurately and efficiently.
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations: Performing soft reconciliations weekly and hard reconciliations monthly, ensuring accuracy in coding and matching transactions.
Month-End Workbooks: Preparing and reconciling schedules for various accounts such as AR, AP, payroll accruals, loans, and fixed assets.
Cash Flow Forecasting: Updating templates with actuals and ensuring clients have clear, actionable insights.
Financial Reporting: Mapping accounts, syncing data, and generating financial reports using TGG templates.
QuickBooks Online Proficiency: Managing bank feeds, running balance sheet and P&L reports, entering invoices/bills, and creating customers/vendors.
Communication and Task Management: Using Asana to update and manage tasks and Bizinta for time entries with detailed descriptions.
Experience: 2–5 years as a bookkeeper or staff accountant, with strong exposure to accrual-based accounting.
In-depth understanding of debits/credits, accrual accounting, and cash vs. accrual methods.
Ability to handle accounts independently and consult clients on financial best practices.
Familiarity with tools like Asana and Keeper for task and password management.
Education: Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills; ability to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
