Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant with knowledge in insurance will be responsible for managing and overseeing all financial activities related to the insurance industry. This includes preparing financial statements, managing accounts receivable and payable, as well as cost analysis and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting regulations and practices within the insurance sector.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Manage the month-end financial close process, including account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.

• Monitor and analyze insurance transactions to ensure proper accounting and compliance with internal policies.

• Collaborate with the insurance team to evaluate and analyze costs, reserves, and premiums, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

• Prepare financial and performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.

• Provide support during internal and external audits, as well as in compliance with tax regulations and industry standards.

• Maintain and update accounting and financial management systems to improve operational efficiency.

• Advise on financial planning and investment strategies related to insurance products.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the insurance industry.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting and tax regulations applicable to the insurance sector.

• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting established deadlines.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
