This was a year of transformation for TestGorilla. With the launch of our new job board, we grew from a talent assessment platform to a talent sourcing powerhouse, taking another step forward in our mission to democratize hiring for employers and job seekers alike.
Showcasing skills in full-color
We also unveiled a major rebrand across our website and product. The goal? To reflect the full range of skills and capabilities in our talent marketplace with a bold, vibrant UX that puts candidates in the spotlight.
Raising the bar for talent assessment
The most impactful updates focused on enhancing our talent assessment platform. In 2024, we launched 39 new tests and updated 34 others, cementing our place as the most comprehensive skills-based hiring solution on the market.
Highlights included:
Language-agnostic coding tests: Expanded to support 6 additional programming languages (20 in total).
Interactive simulators: Designed to replicate real-world skills, like the Google Sheets Spreadsheet Simulation.
New multimedia test types: Introducing video and audio-based tests to boost candidate engagement and ensure assessment integrity.
With such a vast library, we made selecting the right tests easier with our new AI-powered Test Recommender, delivering science-backed suggestions to build the most effective assessments for any role.
Strengthening our scientific foundations
Maintaining the scientific rigor of our assessments remained a priority. This year, our assessment scientists partnered with customers on criterion-related validation studies, ensuring our tests effectively predict job success for hired candidates.
We also transitioned to percentile scoring as the default across all assessments, offering a more precise and insightful way to evaluate results compared to raw scores.
